BROWNSVILLE, Texas – As well as serving as deputy city manager for the City of Brownsville, Helen Ramirez is CEO and executive director of the Greater Brownsville Incentives Corporation.

GBIC is the City of Brownsville’s Type A economic development corporation.

In an in-depth conversation with Rio Grande Guardian editor Steve Taylor, Ramirez discussed the city’s approach to economic development.
