WESLACO, Texas - The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Texas Coastal Bend and Rio Grande Valley Council represents contractors and service providers.
The group promotes competition and supporting members’ rights to independently manage their businesses.
Recently, Wendy Herman, president of the ABCTCB, visited the Valley to hear from members. The meeting took place at the offices of the Rio Grande Valley Partnership in Weslaco. State Sen. Adam Hinojosa of Corpus Christi was a special guest.
In an interview with RGG Business Journal, Herman said members of her group benefit from education, advice, and networking. She said part of her visit was to encourage more contractors in the Valley to join the group.
"ABC Texas Coastal Bend and Rio Grande Valley Council membership connects you with valuable resources, support, and opportunities to help your business grow and succeed," Herman said. "By joining, you'll be a part of a network that empowers members to stay competitive and navigate the evolving construction industry."
Herman said ABC supports free enterprise, emphasizing merit-based rewards and the freedom to compete for desired projects without outside interference.
