REYNOSA, Tamaulipas - Luis Bazan, director of the Pharr International Bridge, has spoken about an “important new program” he is collaborating on.

It is titled the "Pharr Border Business Advancements Initiative." He said it is a joint collaboration between the Pharr Bridge Board, Pharr Economic Development Corporation, and the Greater Pharr Chamber of Commerce.

“We are offering a one-stop shop of services. Why? Because, again, we know time is money,” Bazan said.

“We want to get you from your starting point across the finish line. If you are an investor, if you are interested in building a warehouse. If you are interested in crossing more product. If you are opening up a new market, we want to talk to you.”

The RGG Business Journal secured the interview with Bazan at Index Reynosa's 2025 FORO Index Reynosa conference.

“We are not just going to have the infrastructure. We are going to have the personnel. We are going to have the expertise,” Bazan said.

“I have been saying this for more than a year now. We are more than just a bridge. Why? Because our value proposition is, we are here and now. It is not going to take us ten years to get there. We are already here.”

Bazan said Pharr has the team in place to help potential investors. When asked if the Pharr Border Business Advancements Initiative means more economic development opportunities, Bazan said:

“It is already happening. It was in the press. Last year, about 11 million square feet of new development just in Pharr alone. And my understanding is they (Pharr EDC) are working on several new projects right now. But I will leave that to Victor.”

The “Victor” Bazan was talking about is Victor Perez, president of Pharr EDC.
