BROWNSVILLE, Texas - Soon after giving the keynote speech at the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce’s 2023 State of the Chamber luncheon, Brownsville City Manager Helen Ramirez gave an exclusive interview to the Rio Grande Guardian International News Service.
In the interview, Ramirez talked about the key points she wanted to get across to the audience at the event. These included her efforts to make Brownsville “One City,” through collaborations and partnerships with other entities, such as UT-Rio Grande Valley.
Another key point was to update the audience on the rollout of Brownsville’s blistering fast broadband network, BTX.
And, Ramirez spoke about the city’s efforts to improve Brownsville’s historic downtown.
Another topic discussed in the interview was the potential move of Milwhite Industries’ manufacturing plant.
