BROWNSVILLE, Texas - Brownsville residents interested in the city’s agenda for the upcoming legislative session in Austin will have the chance to learn more at Mayor John Cowen’s latest Coffee with the Mayor event.
The event takes place on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the eBridge Center for Business & Commercialization in downtown Brownsville. It is slated to start at 8:00 a.m. and end at 9:30 a.m.
“Let’s Build Brownsville Together. Start your morning with a conversation that matters and join Mayor Cowen for an open, informal discussion to share your ideas, ask questions, and connect with fellow community members. Together, we can shape Brownsville’s future, one cup of coffee at a time,” a flyer from the mayor’s office states.

Meanwhile, Brownsville Chamber of Commerce, has announced details of Brownsville Day at the state Capitol. The event actually takes place over two days, Jan. 29 and 30.
“Join us as we return to the Capitol in Austin for Brownsville Day at the Capitol. This two-day event offers a unique opportunity to represent Brownsville and advocate for key issues impacting our community. Engage with Texas legislators and state officials as we bring forward vital priorities such as water advocacy, infrastructure development, transportation, and healthcare,” a flyer from the Chamber states.
