PHARR, Texas - Rio Grande City Mayor Pro-Tem Ediel Barrera says great things are happening in his city.
Specifically, he references industrial activity connected to the Starr-Camargo International Bridge, the bypass TxDOT is building to get trucks off of US 83, and the new specialty clinics DHR Health is developing alongside Starr County Memorial Hospital.
The more residency programs DHR can develop, the more newly trained physicians are likely to stay in the community, Barrera said.
