The Rio Grande Guardian is pleased to announce a tie-up with Ramiro Garza, president of Noble Development and president of RG Economic Advisors.
Each month, Ramiro is going to give his perspective on the economic trends in the Rio Grande Valley via a Zoom conversation. The project is part of a plan to improve our coverage of economic development and workforce training issues in our region.
As everyone in the the industry knows, Ramiro Garza studies economic trends thoroughly. He analyzes what is happening through multiple data sets. He does this not just because he enjoys the topic but because his success in attracting new business to the Valley depends upon it.
For those that do not know him, Ramiro is a Valley native who earned bachelor and master degrees at UT-Rio Grande Valley (or UT-Pan American as it was at the time), and is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma.
Ramiro has worked for the economic development corporations of Port Isabel and Edinburg and is a former city manager for the City of Edinburg. For the past five years he has worked in the private sector.
We hope you like this introductory video conversation. We plan to make future Zoom conversations live so that the general public can ask questions of Ramiro.
