PHARR, TEXAS – Customs broker and logistics expert Jorge A. Torres emceed the recent Industrial Warehouse Summit hosted by the Pharr Bridge Board.

The founder and president of InterLink Trade Services also gave a power point presentation on the impact of near-shoring. 

Torres said the summit was held in response to a news story in the Rio Grande Guardian International News Service that featured Torres. In the June 2022 story, Torres said finding warehouse space in the McAllen area was becoming a “nightmare.” 

The Guardian secured an exclusive with Torres at the Industrial Warehouse Summit. Just prior to the interview, Torres said the original Guardian story not only spurred the Industrial Warehouse Summit but also a follow-up story about the lack of warehouse space on Dallas TV station WFAA. He said this story was aired across Texas.
