BROWNSVILLE, Texas – State Sen. Eddie Lucio is retiring from public office having spent 34 years in the Legislature – four years as a state representative and 30 as a state senator.

In a video series on his legacy, the Rio Grande Guardian International News Service interviewed the senator on a range of subjects. Part Two, below, focuses on his efforts to improve infrastructure in the Rio Grande Valley, including help for the region’s colonias.
