The summit was well attended with land developers, bankers, construction companies and lawyers.

Organizers said the summit came about in response to a news story in the Rio Grande Guardian International News Service headlined: “Torres: Finding warehouse space is becoming a nightmare.”

However, Victor Perez, president of Pharr Economic Development Corporation, told the Guardian that Pharr has plenty of land and encouraged developers to give him a call.
