PHARR, Texas – State Sen. Eddie Lucio says Texas needs to develop even stronger relations with Mexico.

“We are all in this together,” Lucio said, at Pharr Bridge Board’s recent “Taste of Trade” event.

Every year the Board hosts the event to celebrate the start of the fresh season.

In a video interview with the Rio Grande Guardian International News Service, Lucio said it was time to give blessings for the fresh produce the nation enjoys thanks to the Pharr International Bridge. He also noted that the state legislature played its part in passing legislation to help the bridge grow and expand.
