WESLACO, Texas – The Texas Broadband Development Office and Connect Texas held a meeting recently at the offices of the Lower Rio Grande Valley Development Council.

The purpose was to educate Valley communities on the funding opportunities available to expand broadband in the region and solicit feedback from local stakeholders.

At the event, the Rio Grande Guardian International News Service secured an exclusive interview with Jordana Barton-Garcia, a senior fellow at Connect Humanity and co-organizer of the RGV Broadband Coalition.
