EDINBURG, Texas – UT-Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine and DHR Health have teamed up to get information and news out to the people of the Valley about the Coronavirus.
In a video posted on Linked In, the medical school’s dean, Dr. John H. Krouse, and DHR’s co-founder and chairman, Dr. Carlos Cardenas, explain the collaboration.
“As our Rio Grande Valley community is combating the spread of the COVID-19 or Coronavirus, the UTRGV School of Medicine, together with DHR Health, would like to provide you and your family with some words of encouragement during these uncertain times,” Krouse said.
Cardenas said that’s right.
“We would like to let you know that both DHR Health and the UTRGV School of Medicine are working around the clock to provide the community with the resources needed to be up to date with the latest COVID-19 developments and news,” Cardenas said.
Krouse said UTRGV School of Medicine has created a COVID-19 resource website, “where you can find more information on how to combat and help slow down the spread of the virus as well as a hotline to call medical professionals about possible symptoms and COVID-19 testing.”

“DHR Health and the UTRGV School of Medicine would like to remind you and your family to stay calm, stay home, wash your hands and stay away from others who may be sick,” Krouse concluded.
“We understand that these are difficult times for everybody but know that together we will get through this. All of you are part of our team,” Cardenas added.
