HARLINGEN, Texas - The Biden Administration is encouraging the Rio Grande Valley’s 150,000 legal residents to apply to become U.S. citizens.
In a video interview, Norma Limon, field office director for U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services in Harlingen, said a marketing effort to get more people to become citizens is occurring in four areas of the country. The Valley is one of the four.
The Rio Grande Guardian International News Service also interviewed Santa Acuña, an accredited representative and coordinator for immigration services for the Diocese of Brownsville.
