MCALLEN, Texas - South Texas College hosted its annual Workforce Summit at the Student Union Building on the Pecan Campus in McAllen on Nov. 2001, 2025.
The event focused on the impact of AI in workforce education and economic development. Other areas covered included innovation and apprenticeships.
The keynote speaker was Aaron Demerson, CEO and president of the Texas Economic Development Corporation. His address was titled: “Impact of AI on Workforce Education and Economic Development.
