MCALLEN, Texas - Lily Cantú, director of marketing for the Rio Grande Valley Partnership, recently announced details about a change to one of the group’s most popular programs.

Starting in early 2026, the group’s monthly Commercial & Investment Tour event will be retitled RGV Connect Forum.

Cantú spoke about RGV Connect Forum when appearing at an Institute for Leadership in Capital Projects-RGV Chapter event in McAllen. Cantú said the redesign will bring a new focus on collaboration across the Rio Grande Valley.

Here are Cantú’s remarks at the I-LinCP event:

RGV Partnership says:

“We’re excited to introduce the RGV Connect Forum, a redesigned version of our Commercial & Investment Tour, bringing a new focus on collaboration across the Rio Grande Valley,” the RGVP stated.

“In response to our members’ call for more engagement in legislative advocacy, the Forum will serve as an open mic for our community. A space to share regional needs, concerns, and priorities, while also celebrating the progress and wins of our partners in our pillar industries.

“This monthly event will give leaders a chance to showcase the growth and achievements in their communities while also highlighting what support they need and blending those insights with legislative asks.

“By coming together regularly, we’re building the foundation for a unified legislative agenda that connects all four counties Starr, Hidalgo, Willacy, and Cameron as One Region, One Voice.”
