Texas A&M McAllen holds Open House

MCALLEN, Texas - Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen hosted an Open House on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025. 

The event gave community members, including high school and transfer students, an opportunity to meet faculty and staff to talk about the ten undergraduate degree programs on offer at the McAllen Center. 

Potential students got the chance to tour the facility, meet students, professors, and staff members, discover campus services and resources, and receive help with the application process. 

“Our Open House event gave local students, educators and families the opportunity to explore Aggieland in the Rio Grande Valley,” said Ernie Aliseda, associate vice president and chief operating officer of Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen. 

“It was a great chance for prospective students to visit our campus, learn about our academic programs and resources, and discover how they can earn the same prestigious Texas A&M degree and Aggie Ring as students in College Station — all while staying close to home.”
