PALMVIEW, Texas - Palmview Chamber of Commerce recently joined forces with Prairie View A&M Extension for co-hosted a BID Academy event.
BID stands for Business in Development. It is designed to help companies get HUD certified. HUD stands for Historically Underutilized Business.
After the event, Hugo Elio Sarabia, III, a coordinator for the chamber, gave an exclusive interview to the Rio Grande Guardian. He said Palmview Chamber of Commerce may not be the biggest organization of its type in the Rio Grande Valley but what it lacks in numbers it makes up for in spirit.
Sarabia thanked Hidalgo County Commissioner Everado "Ever" Villarreal for his support.
