HARLINGEN, Texas - Nate Sheets is a veteran, agriculture entrepreneur, and self-proclaimed “Trump Conservative.” He is running to be the next Agriculture Commissioner of Texas.
In the Republican Primary he defeated three-term incumbent Commissioner Sid Miller. He now faces Democrat Clayton Tucker in the general election in November.
Sheets’ second to last campaign event before the election was in Harlingen, where he appeared on stage with Gov. Greg Abbott. He spoke about the need for better nutrition. Here are his remarks from that event:
