BROWNSVILLE, Texas - Education administrator Prisci Roca Tipton is running for the Port of Brownsville Commission.
She recently sat down for an interview with the Rio Grande Guardian to explain her top campaign issues and what voters in the district are telling her.
Like other candidates, Roca Tipton said she wants tosee more transparency in port affairs.
Roca Tipton's family has a storied history within the Port of Brownsville. Her father built boats for the shrimping industry. When that industry hit hard times he manufactured panels for oil rigs.
Roca Tiptob recalled those days in her interview.
