BROWNSVILLE, Texas - Attorney Erin Hernandez Garcia is running for the 107th state District Court in Cameron County.
Due to a retirement, it is an open seat.
If elected Hernandez Garcia would be the first woman judge of the 107th District Court.
The Rio Grande Guardian caught up with Hernandez Garcia at a Meet the Candidate event hosted by North Cameron County Democrats. It was held at the La Sierra Event Center in Harlingen.
In the interview the Hernandez Garcia explains why she is running and what she is hearing from voters.
