BROWNSVILLE, Texas - Julia L. Landrum, community development and marketing manager for San Benito Economic Development Corporation, says hundreds of new jobs will soon be created in her city.
“We are currently working on a foreign direct investment. San Benito EDC can't divulge too many details but it will be a true economic development project for our city, for the area. Probably the largest that San Benito has seen. It will create hundreds of jobs and millions of dollars of investment. So it is very exciting for our community,” Landrum said.
Landrum made her announcement at the September meeting of the South Texas Manufacturers Association, held at Rancho Viejo. STMA Executive Director Mike Willis always gives local EDCs an opportunity to announce their latest projects at the group’s monthly meetings.
