AUSTIN, Texas - The Consul General of Mexico in Austin has praised Brownsville leaders for taking an international approach when promoting their city.
Humberto Hernández Haddad said he was impressed with everything he was hearing about Brownsville when he hosted a Brownsville Day at the Capitol event at his offices.
“What I'm feeling here is that the City of Brownsville is eager to send an international message to the global audience, not just to the bilateral relationship of the US and Mexico. You have an international message that needs to be heard,” Hernández said.
During a high-powered panel discussion about international trade and relations, Hernández sat next to Mexico’s Consul in Brownsville, Judith Arrieta Munguía.
“I feel that Consul Judith Arrieta is the right Mexican Consulate at the right moment in the right city.”
