LAREDO, TEXAS - When the Rio Grande Guardian International News Service learned recently that Tesla is going to get its own dedicated lane at the Laredo–Colombia Solidarity International Bridge, we wanted to find out more.

Who better to talk to than leaders in Laredo?

In this video interview, Laredo City Councilman Ruben Gutierrez, Jr., discusses in-depth plans to upgrade the Colombia Bridge. But, he goes further. Gutierrez, pictured above, also talks about plans to build a new bridge in south Laredo and plans expand the busiest land port in North America, the World Trade International Bridge.

“In ten years we’re not going to recognize Laredo,” Gutierrez says. “It is going to continue growing as it has been. It just keeps growing and growing.”
