BROWNSVILLE, Texas - The Institute for Leadership in Capital Projects recently held a mixer at Las Ramblas at Market Square in downtown Brownsville. It was designed to attract professionals in the construction and design sector.
The event gave City of Brownsville leaders a chance to explain in detail the city’s downtown revitalization project. Assistant City Manager Doroteo Garcia Jr. highlighted the City’s $215 million Capital Improvement Plan, while Planning Director Daniel Leal outlined the 15-year Downtown Renaissance Master Plan, which focuses on expanding housing and retail, improving walkability, and enhancing mobility to create a more vibrant downtown.
