As part of DHR Health’s commitment to community and wellness, resident physicians will be providing sports physicals for PSJA middle and high school student-athletes.

ADDITIONAL:
Sports physicals are required by school districts and the University Interscholastic League (UIL) to ensure students can participate safely in athletic, band, color guard, cheer or dance programs. By taking this service to the schools, DHR Health is removing barriers to healthcare and supporting student health and strengthening ties in the community.
The resident physicians will conduct a head-to-toe physical exam will assess a student’s head, eyes, ears, nose, throat, heart, lungs, abdomen (for female students), hernia (for male students), bones, joints, muscles, coordination, balance, and reflexes—ensuring they are fit and ready for participation.
While routine, these physicals play a critical role in injury prevention and early health issue detection for students.
