HARLINGEN, Texas - The RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 2025 Luna Awards Luncheon & Expo in Harlingen August 27 from 10:00 am to 1:30pm.
The Luna Awards were created in 2007 by the Regional Hispanic Contractors Association to uphold women who show dedication in career paths geared toward the advancement of architecture, construction, and engineering industries.
The RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit organization that helps local businesses with networking and mentorship opportunities, will hold the event at the Harlingen Event Center.
According to a press advisory from the RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the event will feature State Representative Erin Elizabeth Gámez as its keynote speaker and Harlingen Mayor Norma Sepulveda will make the event’s opening remarks.
The categories for nominations in the Rio Grande Valley include A/E/C Firm of the Year, Outstanding Administrative Professional of the Year, Woman of the Year A/E/C and Service Firm of the Year.
“The Luna Awards celebrate the achievements, leadership, and impact of women in architecture, engineering, and construction across South Texas. This event provides a platform for recognition, networking, and professional development while fostering growth in the regional AEC industry,” said RGVHCC President Cynthia Sakulenzki.
