MCALLEN, Texas - Dr. Rashmi Chandran, founder and president of AltaCair Foundation, gave the opening remarks at the group's 2024 Accelerator summit.
The annual health equity conference was co-hosted by AltaCair and Western Governors University. It was held at Embassy Suites in McAllen on Oct. 17, 2024.
The conference aimed to further the mission and outcomes from the 2023 conference to yield scalable solutions that enhance equity in healthcare for the South Texas region. There was a particular focus on the role of community-based organizations in the advancement of public health.
