BROWNSVILLE, Texas - Hunt PanAm Aviation, Sun Valley Aviation, and the City of Brownsville recently held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the construction of a new aircraft hangar at Brownsville-South Padre Island International Airport.
Patrick Kornegay, president of both Sun Valley Aviation and Hunt PanAm Aviation, said his companies provide high-quality aviation services to customers in Brownsville, and throughout South Texas and Latin America.
Kornegay told the RGG Business Journal that Hunt PanAm will enhance aviation services offered at the new facility, including aircraft maintenance, repair and refueling operations. The new hangar will increase aircraft storage capacity and support continued growth at the Brownsville Airport, he explained.
Then-Brownsville City Manager Helen Ramirez said: “Having PanAm invest in a new hangar is extremely important because it just demonstrates where we are in our economic development, in our growth as an airport. We have about 60 warehouses and tenants here, and it just shows that they believe in Brownsville. The industry believes in the growth.”
