PHARR, Texas - Samantha Boiser is deputy director for policy and advocacy for the Communities Foundation of Texas and Educate Texas.
Boiser gave an update on legislation impacting the training of teachers when she spoke at a forum titled "It Pays to Attract and Retain Strong Teachers."
Hosted by UT-Rio Grande Valley, RGV Focus, Educate Texas, Harlingen CISD, and Lyford CISD, the event was held at the Pharr One Center.
At the conclusion of the event, Boiser gave an exclusive interview to the Rio Grande Guardian. She praised UT-Rio Grande Valley for a teacher preparation program it is running with Lyford CISD and Harlingen CISD.
