DONNA, Texas - In order to get an update on the eagerly-anticipated Alliance River Crossing project in Donna, the RGG Business Journal recently met up with Brad Frisby, executive vice president of Rhodes Enterprises.

The Alliance River Crossing development is being developed by Rhodes. It consists of approximately 1,000-acres of usable property next to the Donna-Rio Bravo International Bridge.

Frisby pointed out that the development property is located within a Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone that was set up by the City of Donna, Hidalgo County and Rhodes.

“So, we have a master plan of a little over 1,000 acres. It is a master plan that includes industrial, commercial, some retail. It's got the sewer, water, and utilities extended, as well as fiber optics,” Frisby said.

“It sits at the heart of the bridge on FM 493 and Military Highway, which will be the future international trade bridge corridor that will connect and route trucks more efficiently up to I-69C out through the United States.”

Asked about the Donna-Rio Bravo International Bridge, Frisby said: “It's an eight-lane bridge with brand new inspection facilities that are designed to increase capacity for processing trucks faster. We feel it's just a great spot to be in.”
