SAN JUAN, Texas - The Rio Grande Guardian recently sat down for an in-depth conversation with Ranulfo Marquez, assistant superintendent of academics for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD.
During the conversation, Marquez pointed out that PSJA is leading the region in Kinder Readiness and offers free Pre-Ke 3 and 4 at every elementary campus.
He also spoke about the specialized early childhood campuses, otherwise known as PSJA’s Building Blocks Academies. PSJA has partnerships with 40-plus childcare centers, Marquez said.
For adults, PSJA offers continuing education for parents through the PSJA Ballew Learning Center, in partnership with South Texas College.
Marquez also spoke about PSJA’s iLearn Virtual Learning Program, which offers opportunities for families who prefer online education.
