MCALLEN, Texas - It was a first for the Rio Grande Valley. The first time three economic development leaders have appeared on stage together.
The three were Daniel Silva, president and CEO of the Rio Grande Valley Partnership, Adam Gonzalez, CEO of the Council for South Texas Economic Progress, and Mario Reyna, a director with RioPlex.
The three spoke the inaugural program held in the Valley by the Institute for Leadership in Capital Projects (I-LinCP). It was called the "Building the Valley–Uniting for RGV Regional Growth" and it was held at the Embassy Suites in McAllen.
The discussion revolved around what RGVP, COSTEP, and RioPlex each do, how they collaborate, and what the region needs to succeed.
The moderator was Brian Godinez, CEO of ERO Architects and principal of South Texas Facility Partnership.
