SAN JUAN, Texas - Brian Jones is a farmer in the Rio Grande Valley and a board member representing South Texas on the Texas Farm Bureau.
Jones participated in a private meeting Rio Grande Valley farmers had with U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, U.S. Rep. Monica De La Cruz, and the new US Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins. The meeting was held at a farm south of San Juan, Texas, on March 19. The subject was the water crisis in the Valley and Mexico's failure to comply with a 1944 water sharing treaty.
