BROWNSVILLE, RGV – Brownsville city leaders and UT-Rio Grande Valley professor Rick Jenet have officially launched the Expanding Frontiers nonprofit.
The aim is to help to help spur economic activity in Space commercialization and exploration, and to help create NewSpace Brownsville.
The nonprofit was launched in the famous Pan American building at Brownsville-South Padre Island International Airport.
One of the speakers at the event was Sidney Nakahodo, co-founder and CEO of New York Space Alliance. After the event, Nakahodo spoke with Rio Grande Guardian reporter Steve Taylor about NewSpace Brownsville and BCIC’s involvement in the project.
That interview is featured in this podcast.
Editor’s Note: This is the sixth in a series of eight stories/podcasts about NewSpace Brownsville program and the Expanding Frontiers nonprofit.
