EDINBURG, Texas – In what may be one the most innovative Census data collection efforts in the Rio Grande Valley, the City of Edinburg launched the Census Mobile Ice Cream Machine.

Currently, the City of Edinburg’s census response rate is the best in the Rio Grande Valley, and better that the State average. It stands at 63.5 percent.

Recently, Rio Grande Guardian editor Steve Taylor spoke via Zoom to Edinburg City Manager Ron Garza, about Census 2020.
