RIO GRANDE CITY, Texas – A groundbreaking ceremony was held June 30 for a new state-of-the-art medical development center to be built in Rio Grande City.
DHR Health, Starr County, Starr County Industrial Foundation, City of Rio Grande City, Rio Grande City Economic Development Corporation and Starr County Memorial Hospital are partners in the new venture.
The center will include a medical laboratory, residency program and housing, medical offices and research facility.
Rio Grande City Mayor Joel Villarreal was interviewed at the event. He discussed not only the new medical development center but also other economic development projects in his city.
