SAN BENITO, TEXAS – Each month the Rio Grande Valley Partnership, the Valley’s regional chamber of commerce, hosts its “Commercialization and Investment Tour.” 

This consists of a visit to a different community to see what potential commercial land and retail development opportunities are available. The tours are popular with real estate developers in particular. 

The most recent tour was in San Benito. There, RGVP board member Marie Garcia unveiled the calendar for the coming year. Almost every month has a booking. 

The next one, later this month, will be held in the city of Alamo. Other cities due to receive a visit in 2023 include San Juan, Pharr, Mission, Brownsville, Harlingen, and Rio Grande City.

“All the EDCs (economic development corporations) are wanting to be part of the commercialization tour. I hope you all see the value of this platform we have created. It’s just getting bigger and bigger and bigger,” Garcia said.
