MCALLEN, Texas – The two candidates running for Texas State Board of Education District 2 recently featured at a Meet & Greet hosted by the RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

The two candidates are Pete Garcia and Victor Perez. They are contesting a Democratic Party runoff election. The event was held at Costa Messa restaurant in north McAllen.

The Rio Grande Guardian, a partner to the RGV Hispanic Chamber on candidate forums, live-streamed the remarks of the two candidates on Facebook. Here is the video:
