REYNOSA, Tamaulipas – Every January, Index Reynosa, the trade association of the maquiladora industry, celebrates Day of the Journalist with local reporters. 

The breakfast event, held at the Holiday Inn in downtown Reynosa, comprises the president of Index giving a speech for the new year about the state for the maquiladora industry in the border city. He or she then takes questions from the reporters. 

Later, Index conducts a raffle with prizes for the assembled journalists. 

This year’s celebration was held Friday, Jan. 13.

The new president of Index Reynosa is plant manager Raúl Setién. Here is a video recording of his Q&A with reporters:
