MISSION, Texas – Adam Gonzalez is senior vice president of sponsorship and program development for CoStep.

CoStep stands for the Council for South Texas Economic Progress.

Recently, the Rio Grande Guardian International News Service interviewed Gonzalez about a new report from his organization. The report looks at the regional needs and regional assets of the Rio South Texas region.

Gonzalez and the CoStep team have shared the report with private industry, local economic development organizations and local institutions of higher education.

“The report was very well received. People are excited about a regional effort,” Gonzalez said.

“What we need is to collaborate with others and bring break down some of the silos that exist here in the region. And us communicate a little bit better as to what everybody’s doing in their space so that we can augment and supplement some of those white spaces that exist in the region.”
