PHARR, Texas – Vanguard Academy has purchased its first food truck. Although it will be based at Rembrandt High School in Pharr the truck will be also be used on location for special events. Students will learn culinary skills and customer service as they man the truck.
In the video below, the Rio Grande Guardian International News Service interviews Cristina Santos, who teaches culinary arts at Vanguard.
“Our students are learning valuable skills, including employability and customer service skills,” Santos said.
