EDINBURG, Texas – Dr. Jose Almeda, a surgeon at DHR Health, and his team recently performed an unusual kidney transplant operation.
A mother donated one of her kidneys to her 14-year-old daughter. The family lives in Corpus Christi but the mother traveled down to DHR in Edinburg for the operation. Everything went well and mother and daughter are doing fine.
