MERCEDES, RGV – In a brief video interview, RGV FOCUS Executive Director Luzelma Canales discusses her group’s 26-page 2016 annual report.
RGV FOCUS measures 11 metrics and in 8 of them Valley students are outperforming the statewide average. The report says elementary schools are doing particularly well.
One area of concern is that college graduation rates are not as good as RGV FOCUS would like.
Canales has a message for Valley parents: get more involved.
