Dr. Carlos Cardenas, MD, a co-founder of Doctors Hospital at Renaissance, says his health system is perfectly capable of running a residency program without the help of a medical school.

EDINBURG, Texas – Dr. Carlos Cardenas, MD, a co-founder of Doctors Hospital at Renaissance, says his health system is perfectly capable of running a residency program without the help of a medical school.

“We are already doing it, we have already done it,” said Cardenas, who chairs DHR Health.

Cardenas gave an in-depth video interview to the Rio Grande Guardian International News Service soon after the announcement that DHR Health and Texas A&M University Health Science Center were parting ways.
