It was signed into law by President Johnson in 1965. “It’s been statistically proven that high quality early childhood education gives a child the best opportunity to be successful later in life. Head Start is a key component of our nation’s commitment to equal opportunity, regardless of one’s circumstance of birth,” Hinojosa said.
