CIUDAD VICTORIA, Tamaulipas – The Governor of Tamaulipas, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca and the U.S. General Consul for Matamoros, Otto Hans Van Maerssen met in early September at Casa Tamaulipas.
They committed to continue working together on projects of mutual interest.
García Cabeza de Vaca said the relationship between the state administration and U.S. officials has made it possible to strengthen the public security strategies undertaken by his Government.
“The relationship we have with the United States includes lots of collaboration and coordination; we are united by many common topics of interest in which we are working together,” Garcia Cabeza de Vaca said. “We will continue strengthening the communication and the coordination for the benefit of the families of Tamaulipas and the visitors from our neighboring country.”
Also attending the meeting were the Minister for the U.S. Embassy in Mexico, Joaquin Montserrate; the Consul for Political Affairs, Jose Gutierrez; and, the Assistant for Political and Economical Affairs, Jessica Segura.
