Good afternoon, the honorable Lieutenant Governor, and distinguished members of the community.
At DHR Health our vision is to create a world class system to advance medicine and increase access to the communities we serve. Today, we stand here to redirect the same commitment of DHR Health to the families and friends of Starr County.
DHR Health has a long-standing partnership with Starr County Memorial Hospital and together we have provided various medical services in Rio Grande City.
This new location will help grow our services even further into this community, making sure no person is left behind when it comes to healthcare. That is our goal. To serve you right here at home.
We are honored to work side by side with Starr County Industrial Foundation, Rio Grande City Economic Development Corporation, the City of Rio Grande City, and Starr County Memorial Hospital to bring a medical lab, to provide faster results for the patients, develop various residency programs, to recruit even more skilled physicians to the area, a clinic, and housing for the physicians. That is right, an apartment complex so they can live near their workplace, right here.
Additionally there will be a research facility that will include clinical studies to benefit the residents of Starr County for generations to come. At DHR Health we are known for patient-centered care, world class clinical expertise, and leading innovation. Every patient, every encounter, every time.
We look forward to the future of this site and to working alongside all of you in keeping Starr County healthy. Thank you.
