SAN BENITO, RGV – The accordionist headliner for this Saturday’s South Texas Music Festival, Percy Cardona, says that he can’t wait to jam at the San Benito resaca.

Some of the other musical acts at the festival include Tejano Highway 281Los Badd Boyz del Valle, Los Gavilanes and Zereno.

The event takes place at W.H. Heavin Memorial Park, 705 N. Bowie Street in San Benito. Gates open at 4 p.m. with the music starting at 5 p.m.

According to festival officials, the South Texas Music Festival promotes the “rich musical heritage” of San Benito, including early Conjunto and today’s rock, blues, jazz, and country.

“Join us for an evening of good food and crafts vendors, games and activities for the family, cold beverages, and the best music in South Texas,” festival organizers told the Rio Grande Guardian.
