Rosell Appointed TX Border Region Community Relations Officer, BBVA Compass

MCALLEN, RGV – Robert Rosell, President and Chief Executive Officer for the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce is leaving his post to become Vice-President, Community Relations Officer for BBVA Compass. Rosell will oversee the Texas Border Region, which extends from Brownsville to El Paso from a community relations standpoint.

“I learned a lot during my tenure at the Mission Chamber of Commerce and specifically the needs of small businesses in the community. This new role fits with my passion and allows me to me the opportunity to work with many municipalities all across the border region,” said Rosell. 

Rosell, a Waco, TX native originally, previously worked as a Corporate Compliance Officer for BBVA Compass before joining the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce in early 2017. 

“I would like to thank Mayor Ocaña for allowing me the opportunity to represent such an energetic community. The Mayor’s leadership along with the City Council and Mission EDC has allowed us to work very closely together to do what is best for residents of Mission.” Rosell said

“I would also like to thank the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for allowing me to execute an effective strategy at the Chamber. I am very appreciative of the Board as it was a pleasure working with all of them.” Rosell said

Rosell added this about his work with the Mission Chamber of Commerce: “The City of Mission will always have a special place in my heart and I certainly look forward to continuing to work with leadership in my new role.” 

Rosell will work closely with GMCC Board of Directors on a smooth transition from his current role into his new role at BBVA Compass.
